Started in a cottage in Victoria, BC in 2008, we've since grown to seven offices across Canada and completed thousands of steel and mass timber projects across North America.
Our Story
Exact Detailing Ltd. was founded in 2008 in Victoria, British Columbia. Since then we've grown into a firm with over 200 people and seven offices across Canada, working on projects throughout North America. We took on our first mass timber project in 2011 and have been detailing glulam, CLT, and hybrid timber-steel structures ever since, alongside our structural steel work.
A lot of our staff came to detailing from somewhere else in the industry. We have former welders, ironworkers, shop managers, structural engineers, and architects on staff. When they review a connection or check a drawing, they're thinking about how it gets fabricated and how it goes up, because they've done that work.
Most of our work comes from clients who've worked with us before. We take that as the most honest measure of how we operate: deliver accurate data, communicate clearly, and stay with the project until the last piece is up.
